| The Abundance Fund tenders requests for proposals twice a year. The requests for proposals are region-specific and sector-specific and change with each RFP.
Applicants fill out a standard online form and submit the completed form to the Abundance Fund. We rigorously evaluate each application and pick those with the most promise for success. We then publish those applications on our website and solicit donations from our partners. Our partners contribute to their favorite project or projects until the funding needs are met. Each quarter, our partners receive a progress update on the project they are funding. [DUE DILLIGENCE]
Once a project’s budget is reached, The Abundance Fund will disburse part of the funds to the project. Halfway through the program, representatives from the Abundance Fund will visit the project to check on the project’s progress. We will also audit the financial records of the project at that time. If all is well—and we expect it to be—the remainder of the funds will be disbursed for the successful completion of the project.
